| About Us |
|
Simlog was founded in 1999 to commercialize
training simulation technology developed at
CRIM, one of Canada's
leading research institutes in information technologies.
(The company name is a contraction of the words "SIMulation"
and "LOGiciel", French for "software".)
Today, Simlog we are
the standard in cost-effective simulation,
with a growing number of Value Added Resellers and
customers now in 55 countries.
Most Cost-Effective Product Model
Simlog is pioneering a new kind of simulator product
called Personal Simulator
which leverages the power of today's off-the-shelf (Windows) PCs to finally provide
truly cost-effective help
for training heavy equipment operators.
Tangible recognition has come in the form of these innovation awards:
Widest Product Range
Training simulation for heavy equipment. We do just that,
and in multiple industries.
Practically, this means that Simlog can provide training
help for more kinds of heavy equipment in forestry, mining, and construction
than any other simulator company, world-wide.
Superior Instructional Design
Every
Personal Simulator is developed in collaboration
with leading training professionals, equipment manufacturers, and owner/operators.
And working in multiple industries, we have also gained
special insights into operator training challenges and
instructional design.
Uniquely Qualified Staff
Unlike the employees at companies developing video games or interactive multimedia,
Simlog's simulator specialists are all university graduates in
engineering, physics, or computer science; many also have advanced degrees.
For this reason, we can better understand real heavy equipment and that,
quite frankly, helps us build better simulated ones.
